Advice only โ please read before you change anything
Please read this before you change anything on your computer based on advice from AGN, this website, or the AGN FiveM Support Assistant.
Advice only. AGN is not responsible for any negative effect on your PC, hardware, software or data. Every step is optional, you choose whether to follow it, and you do so at your own risk. Back up first and only do what you are comfortable with.
Everything the AGN FiveM Support Assistant and troubleshooter.agnstaff.com give you is guidance, suggestion and general best practice. It is not a professional support, help-desk, repair or warranty service, and it does not replace one.
You decide what to do. Nothing here is an instruction you have to follow. Every step is optional, you choose whether to run it, and you can stop at any point. The tool never makes a change to your computer without asking you first, one action at a time.
You accept the risk. Changing settings, clearing caches, updating drivers, reinstalling software and editing Windows options all carry risk, including the possibility of losing data or making a problem worse. By choosing to follow any advice given here you accept that risk yourself.
AGN โ Ace Gaming Network, its staff and its volunteers are not responsible or liable for any loss, damage, downtime, data loss, cost, or any negative effect on your computer, hardware, software, accounts or files arising from advice, recommendations or tools provided here. You use them voluntarily, at your own discretion and at your own risk.
Every computer is different. Advice that helps one person can be wrong for another, because hardware, software, drivers, settings and history all differ. What is safe on one machine may not be safe on yours. If a step does not match what you see on screen, stop and ask rather than improvising.
Before you change anything: back up anything you cannot afford to lose, make sure you know how to undo the change, and consider creating a Windows restore point. Only do what you are comfortable doing, and only at a pace you are comfortable with.
If a step is beyond your comfort level, stop. Ask AGN staff in a ticket, or ask a qualified local technician. Our intent is always to help and never to make things worse โ but intent is not a guarantee, and the final decision on your own computer is always yours.
Hardware faults, failing drives, overheating, power problems and manufacturer warranty matters are outside what this tool can see or advise on. For those, contact your hardware manufacturer, retailer or a qualified repair service.
Before you follow any step
- Back up anything you cannot afford to lose.
- Create a restore point if you are about to change Windows settings or drivers.
- Know how to undo it. If you do not know how to reverse a step, that is a good reason not to take it yet.
- One step at a time, and re-test between them. Changing five things at once means you will not know which one mattered.
- Stop if it does not match. If the screen does not look like the instructions, ask instead of improvising.
What the tool will never do on its own
- It will not change a setting, clear a cache, or close a program without asking you first, each time.
- It will not delete GTA V, your Windows files, your drivers, your documents or your AGN account.
- It will not turn off your antivirus or your firewall, and AGN will never advise you to.
- It will not send anything to AGN unless you choose to send it.
Things outside what we can help with
Hardware faults, failing drives, overheating, power supply problems, and anything under a manufacturer’s warranty are outside what this tool can see or reasonably advise on. For those, please contact your hardware manufacturer, your retailer, or a qualified repair service. Following general advice from us on a machine with a hardware fault can make the fault worse, and we would rather say so than guess.
What you are agreeing to when you use this

- results vary between computers, and advice that helped somebody else may not be right for yours;
- you remain solely responsible for any change you choose to make on your own equipment.
Our intent is to help, never to make anything worse. Intent is not a guarantee, which is exactly why this page exists.
