Privacy and data control
This is the part of the AGN Troubleshooter that matters most, so it is written plainly and it is enforced in code, not just promised here.
The short version
- The Support Assistant runs on your computer. It has no automatic upload in it.
- Your details are removed before you ever see the report, on your own machine, and removed again on arrival if you send it.
- You see an exact preview of what will be sent, and you can remove any attachment from it.
- You get a link that lets you delete your report afterwards, without proving who you are.
- Reports are deleted automatically after a short period, by a job that actually runs.
What is never collected
- Passwords, saved credentials or password managers
- Discord, Rockstar, Steam, Epic or Cfx.re account tokens
- Your public IP address
- Your Windows username or your home folder paths
- FiveM, Steam, Discord, licence or hardware identifiers
- Browser history, bookmarks, cookies or anything from your browser
- Your documents, pictures, or any file you did not specifically choose
- Whole folders, whole log files, or crash dump (.dmp) binaries
- Anything at all, automatically — every send is a button you press
What the checks do look at
Only what is needed to answer the question you picked, and only on the routes where it is relevant. A voice problem does not need your graphics settings.
- Windows edition, version and build number
- CPU model, installed memory, GPU name and driver version, free disk space
- Monitor resolution and refresh rate
- Whether GTA V and FiveM were found, and which store GTA V came from
- FiveM version, and a short redacted excerpt of a recent crash log if you choose to include it
- Your selected audio input and output devices and the Windows default communications device
- Network adapter type and state, DNS servers in use, latency, jitter and packet loss figures
- The result of a reachability test against AGN’s own published endpoints
- The answers you type into the wizard, and any screenshot or console text you deliberately attach
The redaction layer
Before the report is shown to you, a redaction pass rewrites anything that could identify you or expose a secret. The same rule set runs in the Windows tool and on this website, from one shared file, so the two cannot drift apart.
It removes Windows usernames and home paths, public IP addresses, FiveM, Steam, Discord, licence and hardware identifiers, Rockstar and Cfx.re session material, authentication tokens, webhook URLs, database connection strings and API keys. It leaves crash ids, resource names, stack traces, driver versions and error text alone — a report without those would be useless, and none of them identify you.
Your email address is only ever in a report if you typed it into the contact box yourself.
On arrival, the server runs the same pass again and then scans the result for anything that still looks like a secret. If something slipped through, staff see the warning on the case rather than finding out later.
If you choose to submit
- You paste or choose your report on the Submit a report page. At this point nothing is stored.
- You see the preview: the exact document, what was redacted from it, and every attachment. You can drop any attachment here.
- You tick the confirmation. Only then is anything written down.
- You get a case number and a private link. Keep that link — it is how you check on or delete your report.
Between step 2 and step 3 the report is held in memory for thirty minutes and nowhere else. Close the tab and it is gone.
How long it is kept, and how to delete it
- Attachments (screenshots, console text) are deleted first, after a short retention period.
- The report itself is deleted after its retention period, whichever comes first.
- You can delete it yourself at any time using the private link you were given.
- Lost the link? Open a ticket with your case number and staff will delete it for you. We deliberately hold nothing else that identifies you, so the link is the only self-service key.
Deletion is real: the row is removed and the files are unlinked from disk. What remains is a one-line audit entry recording that a deletion happened, containing no report content.
Who can see a submitted report
AGN support staff with an account on this service, and only through a signed-in staff view. Access is role-based, every view of an attachment is logged, and the log is itself kept only for a limited period.
AGN Intelligence reads your report to match it against the reviewed knowledge base. It is a local model served from AGN’s own infrastructure — your report is not sent to a third-party AI service.
The quick browser check
The browser check measures a few things about your connection and browser. All of it is measured in your browser and stays there: the page has nowhere to send it, because no endpoint exists to receive it.
One more thing. Everything here is advice, offered without warranty, and anything you choose to change on your own computer is your own responsibility. Read the full notice.
