FiveM cannot find your GTA V installation

What you see

• FiveM opens a folder picker on launch instead of going to the server list
• You choose your GTA V folder and FiveM rejects it or asks again next time
• FiveM worked before you moved, reinstalled or re-drive-lettered the game

What usually causes it

• The folder chosen is the launcher folder, not the folder that actually contains GTAV.exe
• GTA V was moved, or its drive letter changed, so the saved path no longer resolves
• The game is installed on an external or network drive that is not connected at launch
• A partial or interrupted game install left GTAV.exe missing

Worth checking first

• Confirm GTAV.exe exists in the folder you are choosing (the tool reports this)
• Check the drive letter of the game folder still matches what FiveM remembers
• Confirm the drive holding GTA V is connected and readable

Safe steps, one at a time

• Open the GTA V folder yourself and check GTAV.exe is present before choosing it in FiveM
• Point FiveM at the folder that CONTAINS GTAV.exe, not a parent folder and not the launcher folder
• If the game was moved, launch GTA V once through Steam, Epic or the Rockstar Games Launcher so the store repairs its own path, then start FiveM
• If GTAV.exe is genuinely missing, use the store's own file verification (Steam: Verify integrity; Epic: Verify; Rockstar: Verify integrity) rather than deleting anything by hand

When to stop and ask staff

Escalate only if GTAV.exe is present, the path is correct, and FiveM still refuses it — that is a FiveM client problem, not an AGN one.
