GTA V launches into single-player instead of joining AGN
FiveM is the program that connects you to AGN. Starting GTA V on its own gives you the normal single-player game.
What you see
- The game starts in story mode with no FiveM interface
- The FiveM window closed or was never actually used
What usually causes it
- GTA V was started from Steam/Epic/Rockstar rather than from FiveM
- FiveM crashed during startup and the game continued alone
- A desktop shortcut points at GTAV.exe instead of FiveM.exe
Worth checking first
- Ask which icon was double-clicked
- Check whether a FiveM window appeared at all
- Check the shortcut target
Safe steps, one at a time
- Always start from FiveM.exe (or the FiveM desktop shortcut), never from GTA V directly
- Fix or recreate the desktop shortcut so it points at FiveM
- If FiveM disappears during startup, run the crash wizard in the Support Assistant
