The message
Stuck on a colored background but no menu
FiveM's menus are drawn by an embedded browser, and some older AMD laptop graphics chips do not get along with it. This is a known FiveM-side problem.
What you see
- FiveM shows a plain coloured screen with no interface
- The machine is typically an older AMD-equipped laptop
What usually causes it
- Cfx.re documents this as an incompatibility between older AMD laptop GPUs and CEF, the browser engine FiveM's interface runs on
Worth checking first
- Check the GPU model and whether the machine is a laptop
- Check whether the laptop has both an integrated and a discrete GPU
- Check the graphics driver version and age
Safe steps, one at a time
- Update the graphics driver from AMD's own site, or from the laptop maker's support page if the generic driver will not install
- On a hybrid laptop, set FiveM to use the discrete GPU in Windows Graphics settings
- Cfx.re notes this is awaiting a CEF-side fix and points at a forum topic (217731) for workarounds, so there may not be a clean answer yet on affected hardware
These are suggestions, not instructions. Do only what you are comfortable with, back up anything important first, and stop if a step does not match what is on your screen. Advice, risk and responsibility.
When to stop and ask staff
Not an AGN issue. Be straight with the player that this one is a known upstream limitation rather than something we can fix.

What staff will need
- Exact GPU model
- Laptop or desktop
- Driver version
Applies to
Independent of AGN version.
