Missing textures, low-detail world, or objects that never load in
This one is not certain. It is marked likely: the guidance is safe and reasonable, but the diagnosis is not proven for every case. If it does not match what you are seeing, stop and ask rather than pushing on.
The game is running out of room for textures, or a file from the server did not arrive. Both look identical on screen.
What you see
- Blurry, grey or missing textures
- Objects pop in very late or never
- It worsens the longer the session runs
What usually causes it
- Not enough VRAM for the chosen settings, especially with extended distance scaling and high texture quality
- Server-side streamed assets that failed to download
- A stale FiveM cache holding a partial asset
- Texture-heavy graphics mods or packs installed locally
Worth checking first
- Check VRAM against the chosen texture quality and MSAA
- Check whether other players see the same missing object (that separates server-side from local)
- Check whether any local graphics mod or texture pack is installed
Safe steps, one at a time
- Lower texture quality and extended distance scaling by one step and retest
- Turn MSAA down — it costs VRAM disproportionately at high resolutions
- Clear only the FiveM server cache and rejoin so assets re-download
- Remove local texture packs and graphics mods while testing
These are suggestions, not instructions. Do only what you are comfortable with, back up anything important first, and stop if a step does not match what is on your screen. Advice, risk and responsibility.
When to stop and ask staff
Escalate when several players see the SAME missing object or MLO — that is a streamed-asset problem on our side, not their VRAM.
